The Farne Islands are situated in the north of England, just of the coast of Northuberland. There are between 15 and 20 islands, depending on the tides. The main attraction of these islands, to divers, are the seals. There are at least 6,000 grey seals living on and around the islands (with hundreds of pups born each year). Don't be put off by the long drive. The abundance of life and generally good viz makes the trip well worth it.
