Welcome to UBUC!

Ever wondered what it is like to glide weightlessly through an underwater world, exploring wrecks, reefs underwater forests and caves? Ever wanted to swim alongside fish and dolphins, to play with seals or hunt for rare sea horses?

Founded in 1960, the University of Bristol Underwater Club has a long history of providing an affordable, friendly and exciting diving experience to all. From complete beginner to advanced diver the club has something for everyone, providing the opportunity to expand upon your experience, gain new qualifications and most importantly explore the exciting underwater world, both here in the UK and abroad.

Our facilities and training pool are conveniently located in the Student's Union. Our stores are situated in the underground car park. You can find us in the Lansdown pub in Clifton every Tuesday from 8:30pm.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The underground car park is now closed to the public for refurbishment of the Union and can only be accessed during training times. If you need access to stores please contact us.

Diving with us

• We provide a wide range of qualifications from beginner level to Advanced Diver grades. Our next beginner training will start in October 2012. If you are an existing BSAC diver you can join us at any time. Visit our section on New and Existing BSAC Divers.
• We organise many trips throughout the year, from small weekend trips to week-long training trips and expeditions. There is something for everyone at UBUC! Visit our section on Trip Locations to find out about our most popular dive sites!
